Pipewelders offers a complete line of carbon fiber products, from outriggers to the previously fiberglass components of towers. Experimental projects are conducted on the company’s boats and then introduced on manufacturer’s demonstrators, such as the “Hatterascal” GT 60 and custom boat applications where weight reduction and increased strength are the goal.

A Pipewelders tower with Carbon Fiber hardtop, platform, sunshade, dome brackets, light pods, control box and radar pod all composed of carbon fiber produces a significant weight reduction and increase in strength, lowering the center of gravity and reducing stress on the tower while allowing maximum stiffness in thinner composites. This allows styling the tower to match the boat, especially in larger applications.

 

Pictures below are of a 56 Hatteras carbon fiber enclosure being built in our custom shop.

This enclosure was made to accept 3 pieces of curved glass for the front windshields and 4 pieces of flat glass for the side windows.

Hard enclosures:

• Can be made to accept curved or flat glass up to 1/2 inch thick.
• Can have windshield wiper systems installed.
• Can have sliding hatches or sunroofs installed.
• Optional open rear of enclosure
• Can include windows and door in rear if total enclosed.  
• Can have a variety of LED recessed lights for interior color(s)
• Manual or hydraulic folding mast is optional.
